But basically, what’s going on, in my view, is that every programmer that knows how to integrate an API with php has put out some software that’s actually a “wrapper” for the real thing that’s out there, like ChatGPT or OpenAI, Dall-e or Midjourney.
Because if you can wrap a GUI around an API, then you can sell that AI as your own software.
But people write software around those results to package them to you in different ways other than the origin shows you, like ChatGPT or OpenAI playground. If you know nothing about that, don’t worry – you don’t need to for what I’m going to tell you.
Aside from software, you’ll find a lot of people are selling guides on how to use ChatGPT, because it’s really hard to improve on a GUI you can just talk to and get results, even though everyone and their brother are selling “wrappers” for this same tool.
But really that’s not what I’m writing you about today! Here’s the really special part I was alluding to above:
